Progresso

After two years…

We are building a Training Centre complex that will serve as a space where every individual will be able to discover his potential and inspire others to do the same. It aims to create opportunities, through training and guidance,  for conscious individuals to deepen their abilities of self-realization and service to the world. One of our focus areas will be developing Sadvipra training courses, yoga and meditation retreats, adventure camps, permaculture and art courses and workshops as well as other activities focused on creating a strong, resilient and happy society as a whole. This centre will be a pillar in the development of the Master Unit since it will help us inspire people and create the individual basis for all of us to be able to go forward into a better and more sustainable future for our world. Let´s make it happen!

This center will be a complex of two main buildings.

The dorms

This building will be used to accommodate the participants  of several Master Unit activities, and will provide both private and comfortable rooms as well as larger and simpler dormitories. As all the buildings of the Master Unit, it will be built using bio-construction techniques, with local manpower and materials, and with the support of volunteers side by side with paid experts that will provide the structure with all the commodities needed, so that you can feel comfortable and at home, a place to rest and relax after a full day of gratifying and inspiring experiences. A separate kitchen will be used for specific programs where different diets have to be provided to participants, or will act as a guests kitchen in all the other activities.

The kitchen

At the ground floor of this building you will discover a pleasant eating area, equipped with a big and functional kitchen, an internal and an external dining room and delicious vegetarian food that people are used to find in our programs. A big surrounding terrace will host even more people in the classical sunny days of Portuguese summer.

The volunteers that are spending several months with us will be hosted at the first floor, with four simple but comfortable rooms. A large storage room will be equipped also with basic food processing tools and infrastructure, to be able to preserve and distribute the food produced in the Master Unit.

As all the buildings of the Master Unit, it will be built using bio-construction techniques, with local manpower and materials, and with the support of volunteers side by side with paid experts that will provide the structure with all the commodities needed.

The structure will serve as a dining room for 30+10 people in two separate internal spaces, and another 30 people in the covered terrace with view over the MU. It will count with bedrooms for 10 volunteers and one project manager at the 1st floor, a big storage and processing area, and an “industrial kitchen” to provide food to all kinds of events, including special food necessities (e.g. vegan, gluten intolerant, juice-only, raw-food).
