Volunteering
Join the transformational journey of becoming a volunteer at Ananda Kalyani. Our project encompasses a wide range of teams and departments, offering diversity in the kind of volunteer work we offer. Being a volunteer on our land involves becoming an integral part of our community and the interconnected ecosystem that harmonizes spirituality, local development, and holistic regeneration.
Nothing in nature lives just for itself. Trees don’t breathe their own oxygen, plants don’t eat their own vegetables and fruits, rivers don’t drink their own water, and so does the sun not shine upon itself. Being of service to Life is a law of nature; a natural way of being.
Called to offer your service? Be part of our journey by being a volunteer in our project or in one of our departments.

What we offer is all the beauty that comes along with being part of this unique project. You will belong to a spiritually and ecologically minded community, be part of daily spiritual practices such as kiirtan and meditation (optional), have access to inspiring knowledge and visions on a regenerative world, live in the midst of astonishing nature, receive spiritual teachings, and support from spiritual guides through your inner and outer journey. Practically speaking, we offer various living conditions. Depending on the season and demand, we have community houses, dormitories, private rooms, tents, or caravans available. Throughout your time here you will enjoy healthy, mostly locally sourced, satvik food (yogic diet vegetarian without onion, garlic, mushrooms). With love prepared by our kitchen team!
We are happy to receive dedicated and inspired service-minded volunteers, who are interested in spirituality, nature, and alternative living. All volunteers provide service for 6 hours a day, for 5 days a week. With 30 hours a week of commitment, you have the opportunity to develop a variety of soft and hard skills. In the mean time, you have the fulfilling experience of being at service to yourself, your surroundings, other beings, and the divine. Your working times and days depend on the team. The required level of experience, skills, and commitment (ranging from 1 month to 1 year), depends on what type of volunteer you would be.

A general volunteer has a supportive role for 30 hours a week in one of the teams. We ask for a minimum commitment of 1 month. However, we especially welcome volunteers who are willing to join for multiple months.
Conditions:
During the first 4 weeks, the so-called exploration month, we explore whether the volunteering synergy works for us both. Your stay is free of charge, and accommodation and food are provided.

A Team Lead has a leadership role for 30 hours a week, as the main responsible for one of the teams. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 – 12 months. Accommodation and food are provided.
Conditions:
During the first 4 weeks, the so-called exploration month, we explore whether the volunteering synergy works for us both. Your stay is free of charge. From the second month onwards you will even receive some pocket money as a symbolic contribution.

European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is an initiative funded by the European Union which allows volunteers between 17 and 30 years to join Ananda Kalyani, while covering all costs. It is an unique opportunity to join us and learn, share, and thrive within one of our teams.
