Experience life at Ananda Kalyani by visiting us. One day, a weekend or even one month will provide you with a brief taste of being part of the project’s work and life. Surrounded by the exquisite nature of Serra da Estrela natural reserve you’ll experience a peaceful environment in which to explore a conscious lifestyle, meditation and deeper self-exploration.
Price and Registration
The basic contribution per day is 20€ which includes breakfast (self-service), lunch, dinner and a 24/7 tea table.
Conscious donation for children up to 4 years old. Children from 4 years to 12 years old pay half price. Additionally, you will have the use of facilities such as meditation yurt, common indoor spaces including Casa Dharma and Praça Dharma, solar heated outdoor showers as well as access to our idyllic, picturesque river beach and seasonal beach bar.
Discounts:
Staying >2 weeks: discount of 25% on the 3rd and 4th week with us.
For Long-Stays >5 weeks, 50% discount.
We appreciate you planning your visit, as we may not be available to receive you all the time, due to the events we organize and host. Important note: we do not accept last-minute guests, or spontaneous show up, as we need to coordinate internally and prepare everything nicely to welcome you. Thank you for understanding.
*For those who would like to stay more than 2 weeks it’s requested an interview beforehand so we can meet expectations and ensure harmony among all in the valley.

Our Rules
Ananda Kalyani and our community houses are:
- Spaces without any smoking, alcohol and drugs
- Sattvik diet (vegetarian without eggs, mushrooms, garlic and onion)
- A designated smoking area outside of our properties.
- No pets usually allowed, but please ask beforehand if you intend to bring any animal, where extra fees are applied.

Camping – Caravan & Tents
Our camping area provides plenty of space for tents, campers, and caravans, whether you’re traveling light or bringing your home on wheels. The plots are spacious and surrounded by nature, offering both comfort and privacy.
There are no fixed prices—our camping operates on a conscious donation basis. This means guests contribute an amount that feels fair and supports the upkeep of the space, helping to maintain a welcoming and sustainable environment for everyone.
